For Students Entered in or after AY2008
The language of instruction is expressed as "J" , "E" , "J,E" , "E,J" , "J/E" or "E/J" , following the course number. "J" indicates Japanese and "E" , English. "J,E" or "E,J" indicates that the classes will be offered in both languages. For example, the language of instruction changes from term to term, or from year to year, or the course consists of more than one section, which means several classes will be offered in the same term, so that some classes will be taught in Japanese and the others in English. For "J/E" or "E/J" , the letter that appears first indicates the primary language of instruction.
For foreign languages and literature courses, letters other than "J" or "E" may be used.
For more detailed information on languages of instruction, please refer to the syllabus

Note: Terms and languages of instruction (E,J) are subject to change, so please check with the Course Offerings
