French Studies Abroad
Students enrolling in French Studies Abroad (FSA) will participate in 4-week-program of French language study at the University of Toulouse-Le-Mirail. Upon arrival, a placement test will be conducted and at the end of the program, students will take a standardized French language test (TCF) of which result will be transferred to ICU and counted as part of the grade for the course. For students who do not take French II or III at ICU, FSA may be substituted for one of these courses. (Course work in summer vacation: first registration by the instructor in Spring.) Note: Registration Procedure. Students will be required to attend an orientation meeting in the Winter Term. First registration will take place in the Spring Term. Then one or two orientation classes (mandatory) will take place during the Spring Term. Official registration will be done in the Autumn term by staff and grades will be reported on the Autumn Term grade evaluation sheet upon completion of the course.

Advanced French B
This advanced level course offers an integration of many aspects related to the study of French language and culture. In particular, Advanced French B focuses on preparation for the DAPF French proficiency test, appreciation of French culture, and language practice (translation of Japanese texts into French and Writing). Prerequisite: French III or equivalent. Note: there is no required order for taking any Advanced French courses.

This advanced level course is an integration of many aspects related to French language and culture. In particular, Advanced French A focuses on preparation for the DELF French proficiency test, appreciation of French society, and language practice (translation of French texts into Japanese).
